Ducks

While some ducks, notably Mallards, spend all year in New Jersey, others are winter visitors. With the arrival of the colder weather, great numbers of many different species of ducks appear on the local ponds and offshore in the ocean. Some though are seen in smaller numbers with the Eurasian Wigeon being one of the more uncommon visitors. The Monmouth County ponds and lakes are a good place to find ducks, as is Forsythe.
