To obtain this shot, I used Photoshop to resample up by about 40%. I also applied some sharpening (the amount I typically apply when preparing shots for the web: amount 100%, radius 1, threshold 3). Perhaps, on reflection, it is better to not sharpen an image that has been resampled upwards because that tends to emphasize the digital artifacts introduced by the upsampling.
