| Saturday, November 9: The heron was behaving differently from any previous time I've observed one. It was aggressively chasing off the gulls, making a loud rasping noise -- I'd never before heard a great blue make any noise at all. This is the one successful picture I managed of it in flight (and, of course, there's not a seagull to be seen). | ||
