| Saturday, November 9: It was a lovely afternoon, so after picking up some birdseed from Petco, we drove on to Franklin Lake in West Long Branch where to our great surprise we saw that the great blue heron that lives there was still in evidence. I've not seen the great blue at our local duck pond since early September. Oddly, while there were geese aplenty on the lake, there were few if any ducks. There were, though, many seagulls on the lake. | ||
