Ducks

So many ducks; so many different kinds of ducks. Some are year-round; many are winter visitors. Some prefer ponds and lakes; some prefer the ocean; while others like pop-up pools. But they do all have a strong preference for water. It’s rare to see them away from water.

Ocean Ducks

I mainly find the birds in this section by going to the shore and looking out to sea. The ducks do not distinguish between New York Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, so I’ll also find them there.
