Wrens

Some of my favorite birds are wrens. House Wrens and Carolina Wrens are perennial summer visitors to our yard and to the woodlands and suburbia of the whole of New Jersey. Winter Wrens are winter visitors, although to date, I’ve seen just one that showed up in our front yard on a snowy Sunday morning. Marsh Wrens show up in marshes (no surprise) around the state. And then there’s the Eurasian Wren which is the only one found in England.

My earliest photos are: Carolina Wren, 2/18/2003; House Wren, 5/2/2004; Winter Wren, 2/3/2013; Marsh Wren, 6/23/2013; Eurasian Wren, 3/10/2014.
