Here's a closer look at the adult female. I was taking these shots from quite a distance because so it was quite hard to tell just what bird this was until I saw the image on the computer. The tree in which these cowbirds were perched was the same one where we'd first seen the yellow birds yesterday.

I did get two sightings of the yellow bird: one with the naked eye and the other using the binoculars. In neither case was I quick enough with the camera to take a picture.
