Here's a better look at the bird. A larger zoom would probably have allowed me to capture its color better. The brighter light in the background must have been confounding the camera. Had I been able to get in tighter on the bird, those brighter areas would have been eliminated (at least from some of the shots) and so the color would have been improved.
